b18c5 Jackson Supercharger broken?
Alright im posting for a friend. Hes got a TypeR with Jackson Racing's SC on it. Hes had it for about 3 years, first 2 years was running fine last year somethings definitely wrong. He had a knocking sound which seems to have been from the valves just needing an adjustment but he just feels no power from the Supercharger at all now. Dont have much more details than that but if anyone has any insight on what to look at first etc anything would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Any more information? Has he done a compression and leak down test recently? Is he running engine management? How many miles are on the motor? The supercharger?

I believe it's bearings near/with the pulley? Totally not sure about that though. I know whatever the thing is, it occurs ~20,000 miles of use.

the most obvious question is, what's the reading on your friend's boost gauge? if he's still getting the same boost psi as before, then there's nothing wrong with the sc
Granted the front and rear rotor bearings can go bad, the coupler is more likely to cause that ticking noise. The coupler tends to become deformed, and the holes for the pins of the drive shaft and drive gear become egg shaped. The next most likely culprit of the noise is the snout bearings. If it is the snout bearings, thats not too big of a deal. One comes out easily, the other must be pressed out.
Another, but more unlikely, issue could be the front or rear rotor bearings. If it is the rotor bearings, you most likely will not be able to rebuild it yourself. It is easier, though more costly, to replace the entire rotor pack.
As previously stated, more info is needed. How much boost is it producing, compression & leak down results, belt condition, etc. If it isnt producing boost, and the belts are good and not slipping, then there is a serious problem with the blower, and you would know it right away.
