energizing injectors?
my firned is putting a set of dsm 450's in his turbo d16. a friend of ours said that since the injector hasnt been used in a while, that it had to be energized or it wouldnt work. he said just hook the injector up to a battery until it clicks. i have never heard of this until this guy said that. do you think we have to do that?? i didnt do it with my 450's, but they didnt sit for a long time, this guys have been sitting for like a year or so in his room in a ziploc bag. do you think we should energize them or just put them in?
My SOHC ZC sat for a good 6 months after I bought it...and maybe 2-3 years from the previous owner, and the car started up on the first try...
Your friend is a moron, and should not be trusted to work on your car if he says such silly info.
