Default hondata reflash question

hey im thinking about getting the hondata reflash for my 06 type s and i want to know if anyone else has done this and how they like or dislike the reflashed ecu. ive heard its great but i just want to make damn sure before i get it. so far on my 06 type s, i have aem v2 cold air intake, hks exhaust, and strup 4-1 headers. give me your input on what you think i should do. right now im leaning towards getting the reflash (once i get the cash) but i jsut wanna make sure its really as good as it looks and says it is. thanks

Search. People have it, quite a few on ClubRSX, so do a search on that forum as well. With your setup, it'll be the best power for buck mod you'll buy.

first off, the aem v2 for our cars are not cold air, they are short ram intake.
sorry it was just bothering me that you thought it was a coldair. anyways back on topic, you will not benefit from reflash as much since you do not have a true cold air intake, but you do have an exhaust which is good. You will love the reflash, it lowers vtec engagement and raises your redline to 6800 (on 05-06). before you purchase reflash though, ask yourself how much you want to mod. if you get reflash, you're going to be quite limited to how far you can go and what you can do because reflash is meant for a certain amount of modifications. if you plan on stopping at reflash then go for it, for more extensive modification (i.e. cams, RH, f/i) go with k-pro.

V2 is not a CAI. Sorry buddy. You're actually not really getting any power from it either

v2 isn't cold nor short ram, its an inbetween. If installed right it'll perform a bit better than a short ram. Normally with a vented hood above the intake filter. And you're all right, gains are minimal while vtec noise is maximized

the v2 is NOT a cold air on the RSX. k-pro will cost $1,000 for '02-'04 and will cost ~$1,600 for an '05+. you can purchase hondata k-pro from their website. http://www.hondata.com
