I just got my turbo installed..... I was just curious what is the highest PSI I can run without messing up my stock engine????

 

build up your engine why oh why do people put turbos on stock engines

I wouldn't boost any higher than 7 or 8psi. Stock motors can USUALLY handle up to 9psi, but I woudln't take that risk. I'd boost at 7.

All the installers that I've called say 7-8psi safely with tuning.

 

Yeah, just run 7 psi daily, I think around 10 psi is fine at the track if you are well tuned. If I had a fmu though, I probably wouldn't go past 7 or 8 psi. It all depends on how willing you are to build your engine in the future.
