well i already have a coupe and am looking to buy another project car, what are the pros and cons between eg and ek, the price differnce between then isnt that big a deal, im looking at a 95 for $1500 and a 93 for 3000, both run the reason the 95 is so cheap is its been wrecked but its now reconstructed.

 

get a ek bro..99-00 only...

 

an eg that has been wrecked and "jig-saw puzzled" back together for 1500 isn't that cheap. you should be able to get another stock one with for around that price if you keep looking

i wouldn't buy it (if i didn't build it, i wouldn't trust it). it's your money though.

ya im always afraid of that. you never now how hard the engine has been pushed. i tried to push the thought to the back of my head. well time to keep searching..

look into that ek for $3000. depending on condition, it sounds like a pretty good deal

there really isnt much of anything worth looking at around me, what do you guys use to search for cars, im mainly using craigslist.

that's a different story then. try the marketplace in the "vehicles for sale" section, you should have better luck there. i couldn't tell you anywhere in your area though (unless you're willing to drive to cali or anchorage) . anyway, check the marketplace, you should be able to find something there. good luck with your search

seriously? I love the body on my EG, despite the center console. Actually, even that doesn't bother me. But to dislike a car solely on the center console? To each his own I guess...

 

The only reason I'd go with EG is because of the inspection here in NY. ob1 cars they just dyno and see if it passes smog emissions. ob2 cars they run the ecu and fail you for 2 check engine lights. Even if you reset it there's a reading that can fail you, i forgot what its called but happened to my friend. They send something about all the monitor having to reset themselves to. I think its BS.

I'm glad I live in FL, no smog testing

 

You should definately get the EG, I really enjoy driving mine. I put a d16z6 into my 94 and its hella fun drive.
