Default My clock is broken and I'm not getting a 12 volt turn on lead to my stereo?

My car stereo head unit was stolen out of my 92 civic ex sedan, and I noticed that my little digital clock didnt work after I was robbed.I tried to install a new stereo but I'm not getting the 12V turn on lead to the head unit.I think the clock not working has something to do with not getting the signal.I was wondering if theres a way to bypass the clock or fix it?Any suggetions would be greatly appreciated..

I think it's called a "constant wire"? I'm not an electrician so the term may be wrong.

your 12V turn on lead has nothing to do with the clock...thats for the pwr antenna and if you are running an aftermarket amplifier...the clock turns on with the 12V ignition so you have a bad connection somewhere, check the red and yellow wires in the back and see if you're getting 12V...what did you connect your 12V turn on lead too that it powers the clock?

Check the fuses before you do anything drastic.

alright well if your talking about the fuse then of course, the radio power fuse is underneath the drivers side around where the hood release is, should be a 10 amp fuse...if thats not blown, then there is another bigger fuse underneath your hood which you can replace if thats blown.

but to dzminiz what i was trying to say is that if your 12v turn on lead doenst power the clock, the ignition wire does, unless this guy thinks thats what the turn on lead is called...but for future notice, yellow is 12V, red is ignition, turn on is blue/white stripe

He means ignition (wire that turns your stereo on)
And I bet it's a fuse that blew when they were jacking his old deck

people just cut all the wire at once when they are stealing shxt, so it'll shot the fuse, that's why..

I knew it was the backup since the neither the clock or radio would come on. It happens. the blue/white is "turn on" for the amp, not the radio, right? (sorry for the hijack)
