Default dc sports header

i want to buy a dc sports header for my ek. i have an apexi ws2 catback. i'm gonna do a mini me swap with a d16y8 head, so i was gonna get a header for a 00 civic ex. then would i have to get a catalytic converter? maybe like a high flow cat? would it be a direct bolt on?
and whats the difference between stainless steel and ceramic headers? like, what advantages/disadvantages do they have? same with 4-1 and 4-2-1, and one piece and two piece. sorry for so many questions, it'd be nice if i could have them all answered tho.

I can only give feedback on this combo

I have DC Sports stainless header and a WS2 Apexi catback. You will need the cat to complete this system. You could go high flow or just find a used cat from someone.

I choose the stainless header because i have had issues with ceramic headers staining and looking dirty after awhile.

The exhaust is really quiet on my car. it could pass for stock. i would say at best this combo is worth maybe 5 HP.

no expert here. 4-2-1 is for low to mid range power. 4-1 is for high rpm power. 2 piece vs. 1 piece is all looks and being able to easily install. you can install a 2 piece without a lift. i would think a ceramic coated header would provide better heat insulation, but i dont know for sure. polished stainless headers are hard to keep looking good.

Ceramic will keep underhood temps down, stainless will look better. 4-1 is for top end, 4-2-1 is for mid range. You don't have to change your stock cat.

Will it make a difference at all? No.

I was talking to a couple of places for my EK because i wanted to get headers and no one makes headers for DX, CX, LX models due to the cat being right in front of the motor. So when I get my header/exhaust combo, I have to get 96-00 EX/SI so i can use aftermarket headers and move the Cat underneath the car, also i have to extend the O2 sensors as well.

True that. I had a DC on my car and the welds started to crack after a year.

the fastest way to extend wiring: Cut add desired length of wire and connect to the other end via connectors or heat shrink tubing. Preferably add wire the same color(s) so just in case someone messes with it later on...they know wtf is going on.

Or you can pay a shop a couple hundred to do it and well they're probably gonna do it with the tubing...

you will need to get an hx/ex cat, or test pipe if you dont care, or for random technology cat but cost quite a bit but will pass emissions
