ok so my friend has a 98 accord and his transmission is beginning to act up when it is put in drive and when starting from a complete stop. He wanted to check his transmission fluid and he insists there is no dipstick... so could you please tell me where it is so i could tell him and he can check it?

left front or the engine bay...way down low...rediculous to check or add fluid.

 

Open the hood, Its down far, look around the transmission area,

it will be a Yellow looking small dipstick

 

V6 is on the right side front of the transmission and is YELLOW in color. the I4 car has the dip stick on the opposite side of the car since the transmission is located on the passenger side of the car.

 

just underneath the A/c hose, right of battery, left of exhaust manifold for 4 banger, there's no dipstick for manual but there's a dipstick for auto
