Well, as some of you may know, an acquaintence of mine sent me a message on MySpace saying he had a buddy with an Evo 9 that heard about my car.

After a couple days talking, we decided to just go ahead and play around a little bit.

For those of you that don't know my setup:

LS crank
OS P30's
PR3 head (no port/polish)
Skunk2 Pro2+'s
RMF narrow
Stock B16 S4C transmission
And a whole lot of little stuff...
(195whp/131wtq)

The Evo 9 had:

3" HKS exhaust
3" downpipe
3" cat delete
BOV (don't know what brand)
Intake (??? brand)

So, we ran three times. On the second run, I missed third real bad and when to fifth. (If you're wondering why you don't see it, it's because it was editted out.)

But anyway, here's the vid.

i think the evo needs a new driver , maybe needs to reflash his ecu also and retune.

other than that i think its pretty good, i guess. Try one off a launch start instead of a roll off

Yes, he def. needs a reflash. Those high-12 second stock Evo IX's turn into high-11 cars with bolt-on's and a reflash.

And I know better than to go on street tires with any Evo.

with a setup like yours you can kill a stock MR
i've put away 3 MR's around my area already
1-stock
2- ecu reflashed only

me- ls/vtec with 202whp and 136tq

Maaaaan put a nice 55wet-75wet shot tuned on that civic and that evo would have been toast. nice vid.

 

Damn the civic was hanging and banging but I still want an EVO.

 

in ur sig it says u only run low 13's. i dont see how u can hang with a modded evo that should run 12's

 

I ran he 13.17 @ 104.9mph when I had a different header/exhaust combo.

I made 15whp more since that track day.

I would love to go from a slower roll.

Just not from a dig!

Where have you been the past 10 years lol... TRACTION is the EVO's fame.
Rolling starts show true HP/Weight on each car.
