Default 92 accord ex ebrake/handbrake adjustment

How on earth/where is the place that you adjust the ebrake? My back brakes are extremely weak and most likely need some adjustment to fix this.

By the way... this is my first car so thats why Ive got about 15 posts on how to fix it.

you cannot adjust the rear brake so it will be stronger, it's engineering to put out 15-20 percent of braking power because the workload of the rear is only 15-20 percent.

if you think you can just put "more" brake in the rear and the car will stop on dime, then i must remind you, when your rear brake locks up you are more likely to lose control of the car. Pardon me if you have a mad tight fwd drifto machine but that's how it works in real life.

the rear parking brake adjustment cable need to be adjusted inside the car, the handbrake is connected to a cable and a equalizer arm thingie, which is secured down with a 10mm nut, that is the adjustment nut btw.

i need to put shifter console entirely one of my honda, while the other honda have a entrance to the adjustment right below the handrest box, covered by a piece of plastic.

someone with 4th gen might want to chip in

oh yeah..for my generation of accord 5-7 clicks for drums, 7-10 clicks for disc, 9-13 for my s 2000

OK, with all due respect, you shouldnt just assume these are my motives. I am not trying to make the rear brake stronger. Im talking about making the cable taught. As of right now the back brakes do not engage until the lever is at full travel. No matter how much I lift the lever, the brakes dont engage in the slightest until the lever is at full travel. But thanks for the info nonetheless. Presently the car isnt 100% secure on facing uphill, no naturally im worried.

In all honestly, I dont want to make my car stop on a dime. Drifting to me is an incredible waste of my tires, and I would never dream of attempting it because drifting = bald tires, new tires = $$$.

take the console off from around the ebrake handle, youll see at its trailing end where it connects to the cable theres a nut (12mm? 14mm? forget). tighten it and itll get rid of the slack. like iam7head said, 5-7 clicks for drums, 7-10 clicks for disc is proper adjustment.
