Does the Apexi turbo for the Civics come with an internal or external wastegate?
Also if you have an interal wastegate, but you have a boost controller can you run a greater amount of boost, higher than the stock boost of say... 7psi.
If so, what do you think max boost will be?

It has internal wastegate. You can still control boost. You're just controlling how long the wastegate stays closed which is vacuum controlled. If you want to be a cheap ***, you can throw a t valve in there which creates a leak. The t valve is $2 just WATCH the boost gauge while you're experimenting with orifice sizes. Or go EBC and have that preset boost in each gear

 

see that gold can? thats an internal wastegate. as far as boost goes..with a manual or electronic boost controller..u can keep it at 7psi and increase up to however efficietn the turbo is. some of the smaller turbos just cant push anymore awhile. plus..dont worry so much about how much the turbo can flow..u should be worried how much boost ur motor can handle safely and reliably.

This is a new motor rebuild. The motor is built strong. Should be able to take 250hp to the wheels safely.
Do you think that the Apexi kit will be able to deliver 250horses?
What do you think that the MAX boost will be on the APEXi kit?

 

What cr are your pistons? I'm going to say max boost will be between 12-14 psi. And I'd say with a bigger turbo, 250 whp is easily achievable. But with the apexi kit, it might be possible.
