why do you want to drag race a stock DelSol?

But either motivation, youll MAYBE run high 16's if you know how to drive. Maybe.

I am here to serve.

But seriously though, its a stock DelSlow, like my stock civic. Theres really nothing you can do on the drastrip other than have fun, but look gay in front of x amount of people when they think youre trying to prove something on the track.

Thats a stock del sol? Damn.. I must be on Antartica then.

I'd guess maybe mid-high 14's. A friend of mine ran a stock b18c1, in a 94 coupe(full interior) tuned for best gas mileage and he ran a 14.2. Sometimes you get a good motor, but who knows really?

launches:
-you DONT want to bog down
-launch where your wheels spin a little and modulate the clutch to prevent it from spinning
-preload the tranny

shifts:
-be fast. lol.

crossing the finish line:
-for the love of god, do NOT put your 4-ways on if you beat a car

Hmm, just go and get some experience under your belt.

Practice driving, learn the lights, get consistant, and just have some fun!

Losing the 17s for sure would help you.

let your tire pressure down, although with low-pro's that wont help you very much... I agree lose the 17's. Is this a ITR or GSR motor that we're talking about here?

I didnt mean get rid of them completely, just swap them out for the track runs... otherwise dont expect 60' times anywhere less than 2.3

I did. Those 17s will suck at the track.

yeah probly pick up a pair of steelies and put your front tires at like 20-25 psi. You can always adjust psi based on what gives you better results..

17's look HUGE on delsols. I bet you see at least .3 seconds difference in your 60' times as well. I know I did. And that was with bald tires on my 14's.
