I can already tell what most people goint to say..."SEARCH"!!!haha...but just to answer your quick question NO..it's RECOMMEND to go high compression maybe 11+....I ran 13.1 compression with my stage 2.

good? No, its been told and shown time and time again you need higher compression to work with the stage IIs.
Common rule of thumb is:
10:1 stock
11:1 stage I
12:1 stage II
13:1 stage III

I tried the S2S2 cams in a stock USDM GSR.
Dynojet tuned with
Regular mods Intake etc
Skunk2 manifold
ITR header, 2.25 exhaust piping
CTR Cams skunk gears
168WHP
Same setup with the S2S2 made 173WHP BUT I lost power all the way to 7200 where they evened out and I did not gain any power until 7700 up. The car felt like a slug, bad midrange power.
