Ideal compression for Skunk stage 1 cams
I've been reading alot on HT and I know its been beat to death, but I couldn't find specific info on this topic. This is for experienced engine builders or people who can read the cam specs and conclude proper c/r .
With skunk stage 1's, is the more compression the better or do you draw the line somewhere?

Re: Ideal compression for Skunk stage 1 cams (Mr Milano)
I noticed people on here don't have alot of good comments to say about the skunk stage 2's, I heard that there copies of the jun 3's but why are they not producing the same or even close to the same numbers as the jun 3's?

i dont have any dyno's to show you but i have seen them on the same car with the same mods, the only difference between the two is the jun's are made out of a slity stronger metal. Many people around here are using the skunk2 stage 2 and love them.

Re: Ideal compression for Skunk stage 1 cams (Tuners)
Ive had skunk2 stage 1 cams in a stock b18c-r and it felt good, but after I fully built the head and too many other things to list they pereformed better although since then I am no upgrading to stage 2's...and do a search for Importreview and/or Jeff's screen name and you will see he put out VERY VERY good #'s with skunk2 stage 2. Not to mention just a few days ago a guy in here posted 200whp with skunk2 stage 1's....hope this helps in some way....

I saw that post also of the 200whp Skunk2 stage 1 cams!! With Skunk 2 Stage 2 cams u might be able to squeeze out a addition 5 hp but I think that is the most and when i spoke to group A about this they agreed!
