Default Honda Accord 92 shift interlock system

Hi,

Im bought a subject car but don't have any technical experience and facing some problem as under.

....Shift Interlock System
When I move the gear lever in Park then the Shift linterlock goes lock and I can't move it back to any other location like D2 or R... etc. while keeping break pedal pressing but when I put the key in Shift Interlock Release which is near the Gear lever then it moves. Anybody knows how to disable the Shift key system or is there any other way by which it comes know normal.

....Driver side window is up and not coming down even no sound of jaming or
click during operating.
This problem is same since I bought it even I checked the fuses on pessenger side under the hood but found Ok but don't know other way for checking the fault.

I found this site very helfull and hoping to get good n sound tips in regards.

Thanks to all in advance,

Jan

On the Shift interlock, be sure the brake lights are working. The other problem might be the interlock solenoid under the console. I've seen lots of them get gummed up from spilled coffe or cola and then get some dust to make a glue on the plunger. You can clean it with WD-40
The window problem you'll need to remove the door panel and see if the switch is putting power thru to the motor, you can also use a battery to jumper power to the window motor to test it.

Thanks for quick reply, I just check it out the break light on back and found not working.

So I think there is some thing wrong with Break pedal where the Shift Interlock has a link.

Waiting for your quick reply.

I'm pretty sure that your brake switch is bad. Replace that (located above the brake pedal), and both your brake lights and shift interlock should work again.
