12 hour road trips...
Depends, ... on you personal comfort level, and "state of tune".
This weekend will be a long one for me.
Leaving Alex. VA early Friday morning on route to Albany NY, then to Redding CT for a BBQ @ noon-ish on Sat, and finally Maple Grove PA (IHRA), and finally back to VA by Sunday evening/night.
Should be fun!!

I vacationed in my car for two weeks once. It was a lot of fun driving Wyoming and Montana back roads every day, but you're sore when you get out of the car. I had leg cramps the whole time. The noise gets a little old too.
Edit: It was fun and brutal

I've done it a bunch of times... It really wears you out by the time you get to the destination.
I've done the drive from Chicago<->Boston and St. Louis<->Boston.
I learned my lesson on the the Boston to St. Louis drive. I did it in 1 day, and it took a LOT longer than I expected. (~18 hours) By the end of the drive my ears had a little ringing, my butt was a little sore, and my fiancee made me promise that I would never do that to her again

I've been thinking of doing a Chicago--->Miami and Lauderdale. The problem is I can't justify it because I fly for free anyways. Maybe sometime this summer
Nothern California-->Las Vegas for SEMA 2000 average was just over 90mph
Mapquest quoted me 12 hours, took 8.5 hours worth of driving...I'm a little particular, so I check the oil at every fill-up, added 1/2 quart of oil ~1/2 way through the trip, but in the beginning there was a little high rpm driving down I-5
