Location of OBDII plug ?

Default Location of OBDII plug ?

Hello everyone, i am wondering where is the OBD II plug situated in the civic 2006 ... yes i know it is on the drivers side, but im not too familiar with cars, tough i have a scanner, is it possible for someone to take a picture and point it out for me please? i have looked under myself and there is many many...many....

I think the new civics have a newer form factor for the OBD II plugs... some people complaining about old hardware not fitting the new cars....

my friend braught his OBD II scanner, he works for saab\saturn, and it couldnt get any codes... usually works for all obd II cars..

In my friends car it's kinda tucked up on the right side of the knee bolster and the center console. And it's at a diagonal angle when you plug in.

My scanner also will not communicate with my friend's car which is why I'm here. I'm looking for info about pulling codes since his check engine light is on. And he can't get an appointment with the dealer for the next 3 weeks.

I'm wondering if anyone can confirm or deny that they may have switched over to CAN communication? I'm going to try and ask around if anyone I know has a CAN bus scanner yet.

s15project, let me know if you get anything !! i think it might be the MAF sensor of the CAI that we install...

It is CAN, cause someone on fgcoupe has an auterra dyno-scan and he had to use the OBD II CAN model.

found the port... Code P0171: Too lean.. I used Actron scanner, i just put 87oct gas and BAM! check light gone.. cuz i used 91oct chevron.. now i use 76 or shell 87... i might try 89 and see if the light comes back on....
