Knock sensor help
Does any1 know what side the knock sensor wire leads to. The knock sensor wire on a Del Sol Dohc/Vtec is Yellow w/red stripe. Theres one on both ends of the plugs. I have the original 93 civic cx cabin harness w/the 94 Del Sol Dohc/Vtec engine harness.
Help please! I appreciate any tips.

not sure on the del sol, but if it is the same as the civic (which it should), then it wires up to the right(passenger) side tower harness.
*edit*, nevermind, looking at my wiring, i thought i set it up that way, but i ran it straight to the ecu, which is something you might want to do as well.

But the map sensor has the same exact color which throws me off. What I want to do is keep the wiring clean as everyone else does and wire it from the plug to the ecu using the same cabin harness. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks Philosofy1, I appreciate that!

i know what your saying, but you can still wire it straight to the ecu and still make it clean, and the job alot easier. hell if you do a good enough job, you can make the wire invisble, you know what i mean!

ok. I'm not the brightest electrician here so excuse me if I soulnd like a dipshit...
If I did hardwire the knock sensor, wouldn't that leave an open circuit, wire of some sort since there is meant to be a wire from the plug to the cabin harness?
Thanks for lettin me bug you Philosphy. This is not the only time you've helped me! I give you mad love!

don't quite understand what you are saying, so i'm going to tell you what i did.
i went to the part store and picked up some of that black plastic sleeves. if you don't know how or can't find someone to solder you can pick up some wire crimp connectors.
went back popped the hood, took the wire that was running to the knock sensor and cut it, soldered it on a wire that i pulled off my old engine harness (one that used to run to the ecu so it had the connector at the end). ran that through the fire wall straight to the ecu. turned around and put the sleeve over the wire, taped it and the used strap ties to tie it down.
