Default Water leak in Civic Si

The rear of my car is already stripped and I want to find the leak. The water collects where the sunroof drain hose exits the body on the passenger side. The space will fill up with water and eventually leak into the spare tire well. The previous owner tried to cover this up with paint, but the rust is coming through the paint.

I first tried running the hose all over the hatch, but nothing leaked. I then checked the sunroof drain. The hose had a lot of dirt in it, but I cleaned it out. I didn't bother testing again because I thought that was it. Next time it rained though, I had water.

I am planning on running water on the sunroof to check if the drains work properly (this weekend), but I wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem.

check in the rear panel, near the rear fendewell on the inside, theres 2 hoses that dump back there, 9 times out of 10 they get plugged with crap and overflow all the way back up to the roof and leak.

My crx leaks back there. The water runs down the rear gutter on the hatch and drips onto the tailight. From there it runs down the backside of the light and drips inside my hatch. Dont know if thats what yours is doin.

my crx does that on the passengerside...maybe its the same for the hatch....i got a little vent thingamagig right back in the crack of the hatch and the body...when it rains hard run off will back up and flow into that vent thing...dripping down onto the tail light and down into the floor...

So perhaps the issue is that when it rains very hard, the vent backs up.

There was a black nozzle on the tube that came down from the sunroof. I have already yanked that one. I will try to make the nozzle on the outside of the car wider.
