94 Civic EX .. the car cranks but wont fire. I swapped dizzys, changed plugs and wires, checked grounds. The fuel pump primes, it gets fuel and spark .. I cant figure out for the life of me, whats wrong..
What are some things to look for..?
Help PLEASE, this is my daily and I kinda need it ASAP.

 

could be flooded with gas. is there a strong gas smell?

 

Nah not a strong gas smell ..

Thing is it was runnin fine , than I parked it for a few hours.. came back to start it and no dice.

Thinking about running a compression test on it.

Any other Ideas..?

PS. Car has 239k on the ticker.. but all regularly scheduled maintanence has been performed.

 

same thing happened to me for some reason. it started fine, i parked it overnight and it wouldn't start. took it to a shop they said it was flooded. i dunno, thats what they told me and they made it run for only a diagnostic fee of about $80.

 

How did your car get flooded just sittin..?

 

i dont know i didn't really ask the guy. possible there was a leaking injector that continued to leak after i shut off the car. and then once i tried to restart the car the injector stopped leaking but since a cylinder or two is now flooded it wont start...that is my best guess.

does your car crank over at normal speed?

 

sounds more like when you changed your distrbutor, did you but it back exactly how the old one was? sometimes you can knock the timing off if it is slightly off.

 

Yeah but if the timing is slightly off on the dizzy, wouldnt the car still start, orr..?

 

when you changed the dizzy, what did you change? I had a problem where my car wouldn't start. I ended up with a whole new dizzy. Is the one you put in new?

 

The dude I bought it off of said it was new, Im not exactly positive but it looks like its in good shape. It could be beat tho - but I dont want to drop 200 on a new dizzy if thats not gonna be the problem.. ya know?

^^^ I would, but everyone I know thats in the game- all have B Series.. so Im kinda beat.
