Default D16Y7 engine questions...

Hello, i have a D16Y7 with ZC`s pistons and D16A6 head. It`s posible install a D16Z6 head in this block? If is posible how many increase the compression ratio?

yes it is possible to put a Z6 head on a Y7 block.

i'm pretty sure that the Z6 and the Y7 head both share the same combustion chamber size/shape so it wouldn't change unless if the Z6 head was milled or if you used a different thickness head gasket.

check here for more specific info (even though many say there are wrong values on here): http://www.knology.net/~jediklc/D.htm

Compression ratio would drop. Put a cam in it.
