Default Cam Corrosion?

These are JDM ITR cams, been in storage for a couple years, and when we pulled them out of the bag they were pretty rusted up. After some steel wool treatment, they've cleaned up a lot, but there is some pitting on one or two of the lobes and mroe on one or two of the journals. Is it ok to run them anyway, or would it lead to semi-catastrophic failure?

Pics aren't great, but you can kinda see it. It's not deep pitting, but it can't be buffed out.

nope. You should be ok. I see this all the time......After we polish cams if we touch them with dirty hands or just leave them out they will start rusting.....You will be ok
