It's supposed to be a JDM gsr tranny, how can you tell if it is or not?

And also, what's the difference between JDM and USDM trannies--would they bolt on the same if it's hydro?

 

i have a gsr tranny and its marked "S80", i've seen teg LS with s80. i've also seen GSRs with "Y80" and LS's with y80 too. dont really know which one which.peace

 

What, is the GSR's letter is in caps while LS is lower case s or y? Or is is just the way you type?

 

There's really no way to tell unless you drive with the damn thing. That's the conclusion that's come about on this board.

 

if its apart you can count the splines on the diff.

 

Then what's that nipple that is supposed to be on the front of the tranny like what Dave Newman had said in another post somewhere?

 

what i mean is that i've seen gsr trannys and ls trannys with either "y80" or s80" on them. my tranny is marked s80 and i know is from a gsr. peace
