Default Please Help! Clueless at this point! (GOING NUTS)

Car is a 91 HF with a JDM obd0 b16. Stock everything but the chip, and I/E.

Ok, car broke down a few days ago, I was sure it was the dizzy because of how it happened etc. So I swaped dizzys. In the process of trying to start it after it did backfire bad one time, had the # 3 and 4 wires backwards, dont know if that had anything to do with it. This is what I have checked/ replaced

Dizzy w/new rotar, cap etc.
Plugs were new and so were wires.
All four plugs spark, pulled each one and touched the valve cover nuts while trying to start it.
Plugs are in right order 1342, dizzy is on the right way.
Main relay is good.
Fuel Pump primes.
Timing belt is fine.
I can smell gas when I try to start it.
The check engine does light up when key is turned so the ECU is working.

At this point i try to start it and it cranks but doesnt start. Now originally when I had thought the dizzy went out, I would keep trying and eventually it would start and I would hit the gas it would rev up then when it went down it would shut off. Since I swaped out dizzys, then it backfired etc. It doesnt get close, just like whines. I can hear the air come out the exhaust too while I try to start it. If I hit the gas in the process of starting it makes a noise too out of the exhaust, like the air noise but a little louder.

Hopefully I am missing something really stupid, I really hope its that. Please Help!

Thanks.

Ok went out and checked again, turned the key on to check main relay, it clicks, then like a second later clicks again. Then when I turn the key off it clicks one more time. Did that three times, did same thing, then I tried to start it. It popped kind of then did the same thing just kinda whines while I start it. Going to go out and play with it some more...

Help me! lol

There's a mark on the crank that lines up to a mark on the block. Line this up and then check to see if the line across the cam gear is level with the block deck.

If that doesn't make sense I can find a picture.
