WS Muffler sound issues
Ok, i recently ordered a Apexi WS muffler and had it installed with 2 1/4 inch crush bent piping and it sounded ok, raspy above 4800RPM which was bearable. At the same time I had a test pipe fabbed also. Now today i had the test pipe installed (bye bye cat) and it sounds pretty horrible.
Right at about 2800RPM that same raspy tone i referred to earlier kicks in suddenly during normal acceleration. The sound is really annoying and possibly comparable to most no-name fart-cans you see running around.
Is this sound due to the piping being crush bent? i know it makes a sound difference but should it be this bad? Thank you for the help

It is due to you removing the cat, which does nothing for you anyways except make your exhaust smell really bad.
Replace the cat, and it should go away.

Well the previous owner, for som strange reason, had an OBD-II cat on the '94 Sol. This is one of the reasons i swapped it out. I had to pay to put on the Pipe because I couldn't get it off with my hand powered tools.
To put it back on would it be best to try again myself, or pay to put it back on (something i would dread). Thanks for the help guys.
