gsr block with ctr pistons?
I have a b18c1 block with CTR pistons and an OEM head gasket, eveything machined. Me and my friends torque down the head with piston 1 at TDC using two steps first 22lbs then 63lbs, that should be the correct way to torque the head down, but when we tried to turn the crank over, it wouldn't budge. Someone told me that CTR pistons pop up slightly and that i needed a thicker head gasket but i wasn't sure if that was true. I'm trying to find out if this is true or not and if it's true what do ya recommend i do for head gaskets.
Good job HONDA_TYPE_R thats what everyone needs, another comedian, so thats whats hot on the streets now playboy, waytago
you just got 2 thumbs up. Anyways, so machining the combustion cambers would be my best bet.

WTF are you talking about, he tried to answer your question jackass. And no dont machine your combustion chamber, they should clear fine but check to see if there is any contact with the head and/or spark plugs

OK i'm really SORRY with so many people being smart with others, I tend to be very defensive. Once again i apoligize I thought that you were talking about my head and not my car head. I understood it to be a smart comment. Actually it is not clearing at all, because i tryed to turn the crank over with the head loose, I kept hearing a thump and i noticed that the head was slightly moving. So I noticed that the piston was hitting the head. So if maching the head wouldn't help then what else can I do Because I already spent way too much on having the block machined and i would hate for the block to be a waste. Thank you for your help!

Don't take this the wrong way, but are you sure the pistons were installed the correct direction, I had a buddy who rebuilt his motor with ctr pistons and in the excitement intalled them the wrong way. He had similar problem.
yeah all four arrows are faceing in the right direction and each piston is in the correct cylinder. I didnt install them i had a mechanic torque them down, but i installed the head.
