Default b18 head - b16 block possible??

is it possible to put a b18 head on a b16 block??
if so what are the pros and cons??

sorry guys,

yeap is B18c Vtec head - B16A Vtec Block JDM

yes, it's possible and it's a cool setup actually if you run a Skunk2 manifold on the GSR/P72 head. Actually, running the Skunk2 manifold is manditory, because if you run the GSR 'snail shell' manifold, you could run into clearance problems since the deck heighth on a B16A is 7mm shorter than a B18C's block. I know someone who's used the GSR manfold though, and it doesn't perform that great in comparison to a Skunk2 manifold. You won't have any clearance issues with teh SKunk2 manifold either. You should try it, and run a thinner headgasket while your at it....its a cool little setup for a B16A. I'm planning to do this setup when i get my newly-acquire B17A block

You'll gain compression by just bolting this head onto your b16a block.

i just sold this swap(same set-up) to one of my friends and the motor is dope. Skunk2 mani, first gen B16A block and a P72 head and he is usinga ITR intake cam. he just finished the swap and the motor loves to be revved.
