Default Anything besides K-pro?

For older cars I know you can just get it chipped with freeware like crome, but with the rsx they rip you off with a $900 chipped ecu and then you have to get it tuned for another $300. For tuning a turboed K-series, is there any other tuning device instead of emanage and stuff like that. Something you can actually program?

Im not really interested in the program because of the power it can make because the limits 300whp with stock internals, im more interested in running a reliable successfull turbo setup. Looks like its the only option though. Thanks guys

a free/cheap/diy ems for the k-series would be nice, maybe in the future but until then k-pro ftw!

there's no way you'll hit 210 WHP with only i/e/k-pro. you'd be lucky to even see 200.

I hit 220 dynojet... if you get a good header (DTR/SSR, HyTech, Burns, or SMSP) its definitely possible... you need a better exhaust too

open header (ek-swapped k20a-R w/RBC IM & HyTech header) - running blue curves (see a/f)

lol 210 on stock header where did you dyno, church??? lol

For an older car there are many other things yo9u can use. Most likely end up using multiple things. VAFC, AEM EMS, Hondata S200, S300, CN Guardian (which I've used and couldn't wait to get rid of) to name a couple off the top of my head.

But why when you can get KPro. KPro is NOT a chipped ecu, it is an ecu replacement built off a k-series ecu. It's fully programable, not a piggyback or a reflash (well it does reflash, but you get to do it).

As far as your question as you something other than KPro or E-Manage, you can use any of the other companies tuning tools like HKS VCON, but its even more expensive. For the money, and just for the features alone, the Hondata K-Pro is probably the #1 product out for the K-Series engine tuners to date. EMS is not something you want to cheap out on.

he's right, i got 27whp gain from mine

1st couple of dynos -- stock ecu/i/rh/stock exhaust
2nd round of dynos -- tuned k-pro/i/rh/stock exhaust

equals around 27whp gain in mid-range,
6-8 whp peak gain

well, some dynos give higher numbers than others.

here's my gain before and after k-pro:
notice mid-range gain, not peak
