ex harness
i know that an si engine harness wont clip into my car because i have a 98. but i picked up a 99-00 ex harness in the hopes that it will clip into both the car and the b16a2 that i have in there. is this correct?

No sorry, this is incorrect.
Your car is an '98(obd2A). Neither the '99 si nor ex(both obd2B) harness will not work in your car.
You need to either reuse your stock harness and adapt it to fit the b16a2, then add wires for vtec solendoid, vtec oil pressure switch, and knock sensor. Also you'll need to change from 3 wire IACV to 2 wire.
Or
Get an EX harness (must be '96-98) and adapt it to fit the b16a.
Thats it, since the obd2 EX harness is already wired for vtec and knock sensor.
* the reason I wrote "adapt to fit b16" is because you didnt secify what obd the b16 is. If its obd1, you'll have to change plugs for injectors, alternator, and distributor.

If your using the '00 Si ecu, then you will need a obd2A-obd2B jumper harness.
Along with quite a few other things.
