I wanted to paint my silver-ish 13" honda cx steelies flat black. I got flat black krylon rust tough paint, but I was wondering which was best for rims, cause I dont want it to chip off and get worn out. Help me out on which ones everyone has used or etc. thanks!

 

strip it, primer it, krylon works best! spray like 3-4 coats (2-3 cans). then do touchups every year or so.

primer rims?? on the realz??...hmm seems pretty good....got any more suggestions peoples?

 

Use steel wool on the rims till the old clear coat is buffed up, use a degreaser then clean. I used stuff actually called Wheel Paint from a Local Auto store. So far so good hasent chipped off, I used about 3 coats.

 

Duplicolor has special paint and clear just for wheels. Mine turned out flawless!

That Duplicolor wheel paint works the best. I used the graphite on mine and it turned out great. Good luck with it.
