The Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve, that's right. Does your state require a smog test or an emissions test? If not, don't worry about it. This valve helps reduce NOX(oxides of nitrogen) a pollutant that occurs at high temp. You don't have to worry about looseing any performance because it does'nt have anything to do with performance. If your state does require an emissions test you don't have to worry about failing emissions because the O2 sensor and Catalytic converter will help reduce emissions. But for visual purposes(if your state require testing), I would rig up some wires and run it with some other wire nearby.

are you keeping the HF head? Hopefully you realize that it's an 8valve head, and this is pretty much pointless.

The size of the ports won't match. The manifold flows a lot more air than that cam/tiny ports/tiny valves can take advantage of. Now you will have a CEL because of removing the EGR system.

What injectors are you planning on using, because you have to use the OBD0 ones.
