To the guy at Walmart who wanted to race me:
So my wife and I had a late night ice cream craving... it happens every so often. We drive to WalMart in her 1987 CRX Si and get the ice cream. As walking towards the car, we notice two guys with a black Honda Civic Hatchback (appears to be a EK) painted black with no clearcoat.
"Yo Bro," the guy says to me," I've been meaning to ask you. Does that car come with a single overhead vtec, or a dual overhead vtec?"
"It doesn't have vtec."
"Sure it does, it has 'Si' on it.
"No, the only real difference between this and the DX is that it has multi-point fuel injection. No vtec in this car."
"But it has 'Si' on it."
"This is a 1987, no vtec."
Just then the other guy chimes in. "Wanna race?"
"Nope," I say, "this car isn't a racer."
First of all, don't start talking to me about hondas unless you know that USDM CRXs don't have VTEC.
Secondly, don't wait for me to come out of the store just to challenge me to race.
Thirdly, race on the track... Street racing is dangerous.
