Will ATTS work without electronic control?
Got a JDM H22A type-s equipped with ATTS couple weeks ago. Plan is to put it in a -00 accord.
However I am missing 3 sensors (steering angle, yaw rate G , lateral G) + there should be 5 wires running from ATTS control unit to ABS control, which naturally are not found in Accords ABS control unit.
At first it seemed to be a good idea to pull out the ATTS, but a regular intermediate shaft does not fit with the transmission, furthermore the engine block is missiong int shaft mounting holes? So best bet would be to go with ATTS.
I think it should not be that hard to find those 3 sensors, but is it possible to run this package without ABS wires?
Links to Prelude SH parts suppliers, that ship international (used & new) are also wellcome.
thanx!

I have not ever heard of someone doing a complete ATTS swap that worked.. but more power to you. Remember the SH and Type-S use different intermediate shafts than the other model Preludes so you may need to use the hubs & axles in order to get some of the sensors working. You definatly need to use the Type-S ECU and ATTS computer in order for the ATTS system to work. If you wanted to ditch the ATTS system I think that you can custom fab an adapter plate for the intermediate shaft.. Some say it works but shops in my area wont do that because they call the fix "unstable" so I dont know personally. Also remember that if you try to ditch the ATTS tranny the Type-S and SH blocks are different and wont mount up with a non SH tranny.. Good luck let us know how it turns out.
Thank you very much.
Some mixed information though. Somewhere I read, that any H/F series tranny should work with SH (/type-s) block.
One more question, is it necessary to run ATTS oil lines through a cooler or should I just "loop" the oil line?

you can do an oil cooler or loop it...its up to you. I personally would want an Oil cooler for the extra coolant capacity for the ATTS unit. What year block did you end up getting? 97 or 98+?

well... I think I'm stuck with this engine no matter what the crank size
Is this something that prevents eg. changing an F-series transmission? What kind of "hassle" im in with this engine anyway (anything else that has not been meantioned)?

I dont think a f-series tranny will bolt to the SH Block. but I am not even 50% about that assumption.
Any other takers out there that know if a SH
block will mate to a F Series Tranny?
Cidery: is there a specific reason you got the SH block? or was it just first available?

It just happened to be available, besides I didn't even know what ATTS was until back home LOL

Actually I did take out the ATTS unit, and that is when I found out, that I would need another transmission, that would be compatible with the intermediate shaft (+ that adapter bracket).
So I'm going to run this engine with ATTS mounted - powerless at first. Then I hope to find those missing sensors and hope that ATTS works without ABS connection.
