Default engine in new civic

besides the k20 in the si, what series engine do the new civic ex's have? Is it still a K series or is it a D series with new tech?

I'm not following "compatible"

check the specs on hondacars.com for the ex motor and Si.

R series is SOHC
K series is DOHC

totally different platforms, and majority of the parts are not interchangeble

well if you mean like the k20a3 ep3 and k20a2 rsx from back in the day... no

but the R18 is pretty impressive,

IMO when they finally start modifying them, they should be nice little motors
stock numbers are impressive for a SOHC

the r18 is a sohc. 140hp is pretty good but i guess it is bigger then a D16

some 1.6L SOHC run 12s. boosted. imagine if its a little bigger like 1.8. should be quicker.

its actually not that hard

most of the SOHC setups are usually in eg's that weight 2300lbs or less
