It depends on what you're trying to do. What is a boosted type R at 10 lb?

Well with all that specific information, I just entered it into my shift calculator program and it says shift at 8284rpm. No later though, since every rpm after that you will lose 0.1 seconds on the quater mile!

what a useless question. your shifting point shouldnt change just because you are boosted. unless your peak power falls off at like 7 k rpms i wouldnt see why you would want to shift any earlier.

This is a question that might receive better answers on the turbo forum. It's not preferred to boost the ITR motor since it does have higher compression. If the motor is built with lower compression in mind, then you can boost more than 10lbs...and shift later depending on how well the build is done.

At higher rpm's with boost, there will be a bit more stress and strain on the internals. Cylinder pressure is going to be pretty high and the addition of 8k rpms can create some nice holes in your block if you don't tune it well.

Yeah i jus got it back from the shops..it running pretty straight..though i never pass 5k ...yeah i think i wouldnt want to pass 8.k that woulda really stress out da motor..because i try to make to the 5k rpm..my engine check lights came on but it went off when i turn off my car..it a hella fun car..LOL...i jus needa tuned it and and re-set the vtec engagement from 6.5rpm to 5.5 ..that would probly help..i wanna bring down da compression ..i could get da piston and Rods..but is there any 10. comprss piston tat fit perfectly into da block without doin any works ??
