The Greddy Turbo Kit is out for the LS 96-99 right now, I believe. Just released, according to the back cover of the newest Import Tuner.

yeah its already out... ive seen it being sold for $2500 shipped. thats a good deal for a LEGAL turbo kit. i dont think it comes with an intercooler though. the intercooler would make it illegal.

Actually, in a past issue of Honda Tuning, they had the GReddy kit, and added an intercooler and BOV, and they said the only thing that would make it beyond street legal is if you increased it from the stock 7.8psi.

I believe they meant an intercooler would prevent it from being CARB legal. In other states you can get away with an IC.

How reliable is the Greddy kit provided that you keep the stock boost level?

I've never heard of a single problem about the mechanics of the Greddy kit (that doesn't include the blue box...that's electric). I've heard many more probs (and seen them too) of turbonetics-based kits, but it may be just due to more of the turbonetics-based kit being sold than greddy's. If you're talking about how reliable your motor will be, that depends more on condition of motor and tuning. You can run reliably at 15-20+psi daily if your motor's built and have good tuning.

Adding a BOV and intercooler will make it fail visual inspection in california. Last time I called greddy over XMAS break, they said it was waiting to have the first installments shipped out.

Greddy turbos are like tampons. All ****** need one (no offense to you son). Go with with DRAG Gen III. It's about a grand more, but it come with everything you need.

"The 18G is capable of tremendous sustained boost levels above 20psi, and is a common upgrade on Diamond Star Cars." -SCC

So how much boost do you think can an Integra get out of that 18G? 20psi? And how much faster does it spool up compared to T3/4 DRAG or REVHARD turbos?

I know other kits put out more power, but many of us would like to stay smog legal. I just don't have enough time or money to deal with tickets or constant visits to the ref.

Anyone know if a Greddy kit would still be legal if it was put into a hatch with a LS engine?
