Does it really matter what the wattage is? Even with aftermarket decks, does it really matter. They all post max power anyhow.

Factory deck is probably 5-10 rms watts per channel if that. Most aftermaket decks are averaging 19 watts rms per channel. Dont fall for the 55 or 60 X 4 crap.

Yes single Din.

i think before 02 the output was 13 watts rms, and after that it went up to 16-18. ( i could be wrong though)

like revhi said, u cant go by aftermarked 50x4 and stuff, just look at the rms. I just put an alpine cda-9856 in and thats running 18 watts rms. it made a pretty big differance in my AP1.

Next week in go the Infinity Kappa Perfect components and an amp to power them at 80 watts rms . if you want good sound u need to power the speakers seperatly from the head unit.

too bad alpine removed their tuning features i have the last model. 9855 (dont thinkt he 56 has crossovers and all that). and wattage means nothing. they are over rated. it is NOT 50w thats max... that doesnt matter. its an easy sell to sel an amp with 1000w"peak" ...

i wanted another alpine for when and if i end up getting an s2k but... looks like they died
