I have a 90 CRX and have found some Nismo wheels... 4x114... what do I need to convert to 4 wide lug from the current patern I have?

I have done a couple searches and found alot of ?'s but no answers...

I will continue to search but in the meantime if anyone knows... please educate me...

wide four lug will fit the wheels that I picked up for Hella cheap!!!

I would put nismo wheels becuase they are Rays Foundry 5 spoke light weight wheel. (the nismo is just a sticker)

I have searched a little more and come up with the idea to get the wheels studs re-pressed into a hole a little further out on each hub... making them into a 4x114. It would have to be EXACT... but I think its doable. Anyone think this might work?

any other suggestions?

OH,Its doable. Don't let people oo and ah about it. You'll have to get 96 ITR Susension. I've seen a few rexs with the 4X114 lug pattern on it. If kids buy ITR wheels (96 spec) and then realize they don't fit, and they change their suspension accordingly, then I see nothing wrong with it.

Will 96 ITR hubs press into the CRX spindle? That would give the correct pattern... I guess you would have to drill new holes in the rotors everytime you changed them...

no i don't think it will work. i think you would have to get the ITR hub and get it machined to the CRX spindle.

but first i would just get 88-91 civic EX knuckles with caplipers and get the hub pressed out and bring that EX hub and the ITR hub to a machine shop and tell the machine shop to make the ITR hub the same size as the EX hubs. so that you can use EX bearings and you can use the EX knuckles and then you have bigger brakes. but i think you would have to use like accord rotors for this set up. thats only for the front i'm not sure about the rear. i think you would have to use the ITR rear brakes . or maybe you can use like accord rear hubs not sure about it.
