Default How to take odometer out of old cluster and put into new one?

I tried to search it but i could not find anything on how to do this.
my cluster is all jacked up from the previous owner, so i got a new one but the mileage is lower then what is on the original cluster, is there any way i can make the new cluster match the mileage on the old one or can i just take out the odometer from the old one and put it into the new one?
