ok so it makes this really loud squealing noise only when the ac is on, otherwise it runs fine. belt is not worn out and and its on there snug. i was thinkin and 1 mech. told me that acutally worked on my car before the tensioner needs to be tightened up, thats it plain and simple. another mech that also looked at it said i would have to get a new ac belt before they could tighten it bc the one on there is a little too loose. 3rd mech. said that i should get new ac and alt. belt and that could fix the prob. or it could be somethin with the pressure from the compressor or somethin like that. any ideas?

 

look for cracks and wear on the belt. if so replace it. if not just tighten it. either or your belt is just loose or needs replacing.

 

i could be any of those and if your belt is too tight it will make the same noise

 

yea the belt seems to be in good shape, and i was just thinkin it just needed to be adjusted either tightened or loosened. yea i didnt really think about it being too tight, that is a possibility. so i shouldnt have to replace it if its not cracked or worn right? none of the mech. saiid anything about it being a worn or cracked belt. and it blows cold air so i dont think its the compressor at all. should i even worry about how one of the tech. said somethin about the pressure might be too high from the compressor?

 

you could concider it but its not likly you said the belts are fine how long has it been doin it?
