Default POWER STEERING ON EF

How can I put power steering on my EF hatch.
What parts do I need and how much is an estimate on the parts?
Thanks a lot!

You will need the power steering rack, pump, lines, and resovoir. Now may I ask why you would want to put power steering on your car??? They are light to begin with and not that hard to turn.

he wants power steering because hes gonna swap the motor and put a c1 in it....and when ur parkin an EF and u got a c1 under the hood its very hard to park.you barely lose any horses so it dosent really matter.

I have driven an eg hatch with a b18c in it with no power steering and it was easy as heck to park. I have a b16a in m 4dr and it is easy to park albeit it weighs a bit less than one with a b18c1 would. I guess it is to each his own.

I can live without it but id rather have it..........It all depends on the person who drives it.

The way I see it is my hf didn't come with it, so I don't need it. Just because I'm putting a b18c in there is no excuse. Just get strong lugging motors around your garage, it worked for me

Edit: I do have the ps pump if you need one.

you can start by working out your biceps and triceps and becoming a hands down ultimate non power steering parker.

i have drove cars with b16a1'a and a b16a2 and i didn't have a problem and i'm a girl. its takes mad skillz yo to parrell park but as long as you can keep the car rolling its no biggie.

Try parking a 1966 C-10 with 275/60/15's on the front. Now that's tough.

not worth the amount of time and fabrication you will be doing but if you insist heres how:

20 push ups x 3 reps
curls numerous theres really no number to shoot for.
then you wana work on your abs just for those quick turns.

I wish my hatch had power steering!! When I was living in NYC, it was very difficult to park with the 16 inch wheels.

It is easier with the 14 inch integra rims, but still a little tough.

Werd DX auto models. ****** the steering rack, lines and P/S pump/bracket and you'll be good...however this only works for a D-series engine. If you're swapping in a B block you're not going to have room for the p/s pump anyhow. If you remove the P/S it make the car HELLA hard to park. Don't be a ***** and just use the manual rack it's alot better that disabled P/S......Trust me

<--- Who's first swap was a 91 DX Auto -> LS 5 speed swap.....
