Default Tranny fluid question

What kind of tranny fluid are you guys running? I was talking w/some techs at Acura and they suggest the Honda fluid over synthetic because of certain addatives. Any insight would be appreciated.

I really like the newer Honda MTL, the techs are right about the additives, not all tranny fluids have the right additives. I always stick with the Honda MTL, and just change it once a year. I think the Honda MTL is either fully synthetic or semi-synthetic, but it does have the proper additives for our trannies either way. It feels good in my tranny, and I have tried a few different products over the years.

I use redline MTL in mine. no problems with it... shifts smoother than the stock fluid that was in there.

i, along with a few other people droped all the sunchros in our tran's when we tried Redline MTL. i had it in my old trans for about 6 months, it felt smoother, but murdered the gears. after it made third grind, 2nd and forth "droped out" it seemed. After changing back to honda MTL, and lots of messing around, i got 2nd and 4th back, and the grind into third went away.
