Making a QR work with the JDM ITR non-SRS wheel. I've seen it done before and PM'd two people here that have made it work but still no responses.

To help you out. I called NRG and had them measure the distance between the holes of the QR. It is a perfect match to the NONsrs wheel. The ITR Non srs wheel has a hub. it is held on with 4 bolts. at 12,6,3,& 9 o'clock positions. the NRG has these same position and many more. Your only concern is matching the holes with the ITR wheel. IT WILL WORK. Of course my research is all jsut that. I have yet to buy a QR and fit it to my ITR wheel.
im sorry but i HAVE to bring this back from the dead. the last post is the most informative..its been about 2 years? any more Factual info on this??

Yes, all NRG quick release hubs (except for the slim quick release which use a entirely different mechanism) are compatible with the hub lock.
good to know. One of my last questions is, is there any other benefit to the hub+release? since i know the wheels can be a pain to put in..because of wiring the horn and the SRS light..do these come with anything to help with the 2? (srs light, and horn) thanks again man

Nope, there is really no benefit to having the quick release. The original reason to have them was for race cars with bucket seats. When you're racing, you want the steering wheel to be up close to you. So the QR make getting in/out of the car easier. There's really no reason to have them on a street car. I dont have one on my car anymore.
The NRG stuff does not come with any instruction on how to wire the horn or bypass the SRS light - although you can search around HT and find some pointers. Another thing to keep in mind is that your auto return turn signal will no longer work. Meaning that you have to manually signal and manually turn off the signal. Again, there is away to retrofit a mechanism, but you have to source one from an older honda. I dont know the details on how to install or make it work.
What most people will argue is that the hub lock is a theft deterant, which it is to a certain degree. Theives can bypass it of course, so I wouldnt rely on it too much.
