Default Honda OEM CAI vs Aftermarket

I noticed some of you guys were putting AEM CAI and such on...i thought the Si's came with a CAI? Has anybody notcied a power difference between them?

I can tell you one thing is for sure, the AEM CAI makes the OEM one sound weak.

At WOT, the intake is louder than my aftermarket exhaust.

As far as power, I have no idea what it would dyno, but others have said they gain 4-10 hp depending on other mods.

i promised my husb that if he got that for me i wouldnt do nothing to it so we could finish the teg.....plus, being a new car and all i didnt want to void the warranty...but it hasnt even come in yet and im already "window shopping"

Common misconception.

A dealership cannot void your entire warranty for modifying your car. Jenkins and Wynne tried that BS with me...

What they can do though, is refuse to work on it because its been modified. They havent gone that low.

BUT: If you hhave a CAI, and your motor hydrolocks, they wont fix it. But if you have a CAI, and your windows stop working, then youre ok.

The problem has to be linked to the aftermarket part.

They cannot refuse to replace your foglight switch because youve put an exhaust or intake on your car.

your not getting that thats mine! i almost ran it over the other day cause they parked my car all funky after the inspection

brian still hasnt told me what color he wants...i promised to get him one after i get an answer out of him

Nah, yours is on the way.

I have driven that very car, and it humps. Only thing is though, they didnt have an '06 as of yet.

haha no my si is on the way not my s2000...thats way way way far away....farther than japan and $30,000 haha
