donno if any of u would agree with me, but, when launching in first, its sooo slow, is there any way to better first gear??

just doesnt seem to be any power through first gear?

How is the an H22 tranny question? Wouldnt it be a launching question?

 

We will need more info than this. What is your setup??? How are you launching it??? stuff like that before we can tell you whats up.

 

if you want first to be short...launch at abotu 5k and feather the clutch...it will go by much quicker

just that I dont feel any torque coming through 1st...is there any parts out there I can get? maybe switch gears with some other rides?

H22 has one of the lowest first of the compatible transmissions I think. What kind of torque are you looking for.

Idunno, i find first gear in an accord just fine, and the h22 first gear is slightly shorter than it.

 

hbe is confusing load in each gear with actual motor output, get a ligh flywheel,

or if you want more torque go and buy a v8

 

i could go out and trade for a V8...but then I wouldnt be able to come back here and get unbelievable help and support from u anymore!! thats the most tragic part! come on misa, u know I loooove ya! hehe..

If you want a V8, my car is -still- for sale. It has more torque than you'll know what to do with.

 

on the subject of gears...i like the accord automatic second and third gear...the prelude's first gear isn't too bad but it is a little short....and the s2000's fourth and fith gear...it would be cool if you could mix and match different gears from different tranny's to get an optimum setup...that would be my optimum setup right there....though i dunno if it would work right...seems like it would be cool though!

yeh i agree, the 3rd gear on the auto accord tranny is pretty good. i like it

 

oh btw, i've driven 4th gen vtec ludes and 5th gen ludes(5-spd) and 1st gear was pretty good. it was very short, maybe its b/c i feathered the clutch from 4k rpm. teh accord 1st gear is slightly longer.
