I need some expert opinions.....
you guys might remember me awhile back, dont remember exactly how long, probably 3 months or so. i practically given up working on cars. to refresh your memory of what happened, i just got back from the dyno, stumped and confused as to why the my car wouldnt start, after a complete tune. results were in, zero compression across all 4, and something like 70-80% leakdown from all cylinders on intake side only. exhaust sealed near perfect as well as the rings. i put around 800 miles on the motor already too, but with gsr cams. well.....after i towed the car home, i parked it in the garage til now
havent touch a damn thing since then either lol.
so instead of parting out the parts, through the miraculous work of god, i would give it one last shot. so i took the head off, started cleaning up everything, and guess what...? to my astonishment, there were no marks on top of the pistons, yet all my intake valves bent!
i couldnt figure it out, i clayed the motor, everything turned out fine. yes, i did lock it in vtec, yes i did the most extreme setting one can foresee on the cam gears, and everything spun freely without touching. timing was dead on. timing belt didnt break or slip. my guess was valve float, but then again, where are the marks on the pistons???? valve to valve contact, but exhaust valves sealed perfect. i will try and post some pics up for you guys if i can, but any advice/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

yeah i'm sorry guys, i'm going to try and borrow a digital camera as soon as possible, so i could take some pictures. before i do, can you elaborate on what your idea is DonF ? i have a hunch you think i installed the pistons in backwards, but i could be wrong. well, im off hunting for a camera, until then, peace out fellow honda-tech people.

Just a thought, were ur valves O.S. and did you play with the cam timing on the dyno? might have been valve to valve contact. Run ur finger over the edges on the flat face of the valves, do you feel any raised spots on the edges? With honda's small stems and big aftermarket springs, they can pull ur ex valve straight in the head while closed, even though they may be tweaked slightly too.
