Default Best place to find OEM ZC hood?

Just wondering as I've seen quite a few OEM metal ZC hoods on HT up and about, but where are you guys getting your ZC hoods from? I know password carries em', but 180 or so + shipping seems a bit steep. Anyone know of any local importers in a Bay Area that stock EF parts?

Thanks in advance!

The problem(s) with oem ZC hoods is that after the cost of the hood ($150-200) and shipping the oversize bulky, easily damaged item, you've spent $250+. And that's not taking into consideration that the hood needs to be painted 95% of the time and there is usually some repairs/dents/dings that need to be done also. So, like another $100-200.
My personal feeling is that you might as well get a new carbon fiber hood at those prices.

Of course, it looks like you're in Cali so maybe local pickup is possible. But most of us would need to get it shipped.

I've got an oem zc hood in my garage awaiting "someday" installation.

Thanks for the replies guys, the only reason why I'm leaning more towards metal than CF is fear of my hood flying up on me while driving the interstate lol. That and I heavily dislike hoodpins (I may get some for my beater hood though...then I could swap out hoods anytime I know I'll be cruising to SoCal, lol).

Can anybody shed some insight on the strength of CF ZC hood hoodlatches? Thanks.

well my buddy said he has had his hood now for about 5 months and he commutes to work everyday on the feeway at approx 75-80mph in his 91 crx with NO HOOD PINS, and its about a 30 mile drive each way 5 days a week and has NEVER had his hood come loose/pop up... its a nice hood... the only prob with his is there is a crack now just above the driver side headlight like a little chip because a big *** rock came up and hit it

Wow, alright thanks a lot. I'm pretty much sold on the Seibon hood cause I live around 15 minutes away from Walnut creek, lol. Quality seems pretty nice from what you've described.

Thanks a lot!

I was thinking next week or the week after. Trying to sell some stuff first to recycle funds into the hatch before spending more . Let me know how much Seibon is charging you for the hood .
