Default Wirein!! 96 civic swap with jdm b18c

Just got a 98 jdm b18c out of a type r intagra and tryin to put it in a 96 civic ex...but the wirein harness dont go with the car...anyone did this swap or know what to do? i got the full engine swap but i dont know if i have to combined the 2 wirein harness to make one?

Don't start hacking that wiring harness up. The harness is reversed since the JDM one is for RHD. What you need to do is figure out what plugs on your stock harness will work, and port over the ones you need. Wire extension and lots of crimps (and or soldering alloy and heat-shrink) is necessary. Don't hack job your car, it will take a process but as long as you're patient it will be easy and possible. Check FF-squad.com to see some nice and helpful diagrams. Good luck.

Whenever you swap in a motor, it is almst always 100x easier to use the harness from the car. Just extend shorter wires and add the other wires you need. You can cut off the loom and move wires around too. Then wrap it back up and it will look really clean.

The only time it is not when you are swapping say an OBD1 GSR into an OBD1 Civic. Then the harness from the GSR whould be better since it has all of the VTEC, VTP, etc wires included and the harness plugs directly into the stock civic harness from the firewall.
