i have a 98 gsr, and im thinkin on going all back to stock, from suspension, rims, to motor...have anyone done this?..the reason why is because of thieves, mainly, and becuase it has gotten me into trouble, such as with cops and people....
well my question is...has anyone regret it?...i want to just get rid of everything and just replacing them with oem stuff

as of right now this is what has been done to it
engine work: not much
dc 4-2-1 header
apex 2.25 cat-back, with es oval exhaust
ctr pistons
coldair
f & s stage 2 clutch, with type r flywheel
exterior:
painted cw
dropped with skunk 2 CO
kyb adjustable shocks
rota slips
shaved emblems
shaved moldings
removed rear windshield wiper
my plans are just getting some meshies putting the stock springs that i saved, and painting the car SSBP, and removing the emgine mods to complete stock...how is my engine going to respond to the changes?

i wish i can say my engine is "fix up" but all it has is the pistons, well i just want to know if my engine will feel different after removing these parts, and no dude im deff. not buying a new engine, and i want my car as a daily driver...

i went from a turbo civic to a stock one, when i blew the motor. Hated it. sold it and bought a teg. also, painting the car SSBP, the most sexiest color there is, is just going to attact more attention. IMO, rims, change, and keep everything else the same. They want your car because its easy to steal, theres a demand for it and the parts, and thieves are a-holes.
I put my integra somewhat back to stock except the jdm front..turbo to n/a, caged interior to full interior etc..then afterwards it turned out to be the worst mistake of my life..I couldn't stand riding the stockness of it all , so I ended buying it all back

it does not seem at matter if you car is stock or moded to most thives. They want the parts to sell, and if there are aftermarket then all the better.
As far as cops go, They look for exhaust, lights, and anything else that makes you look like a "racer".
Good luck with it. I am thinking about selling my car just becuase I dont want to deal with cops, and I have not even driven my car in 2+ years.

My teg is just a pleasure vehicle but If I was in your shoes I would just get rid of the exhaust to avoid the unwanted attention.
my cars back to stock & i don't regret it. i have a greater peace of mind leaving it in parking lots knowing its' not a hot target.., not being so paranoid, besides i really didn't have a choice since it was stolen and stripped back to stock... (alarm & auto locks don't stop thieves) insurance companies don't give you nearly what you spent. i had the choice of rebuilding my car but passed on it, i figure if i want to go fast i'll just take my bike out... but that''s just my opinion...
