gas leak in 90 crx

Default gas leak in 90 crx

hey my 90 crx is leaking gas.....cant really tell where its coming from, but i can see a small leak dripping puddle from under the car..... car also smells of gas. Anybody kno what it most likely is without seeing the car? what i can check?

check your lines by the tank first they tend to go bad

yeah check the lines. but our cars are old and if the car sat for any amount of time it could have rusted a hole in the tank

the tank is plastic so it won't rust.

probably rusted lines or a leaky connection under there

u got a plastic gas tank. dude that must be some serios jdm light ****.

yea car sat for awhile in winter, looks as if its leaking from the tank but cant take a look at it till this weekend when i get some garage time. And Yea its def not a plastic tank

yeah my old 88 hatch had that problem,,the line in the back right by the rear wheel was completly rotted out....Its not hard to fix but is a pain cause of the space..I just cut out the rotted piece then put on a rubber hose wit 2 clamps,,and it was fine....The whole line costs to much for me

Same prob w/my 91 LX sedan. Used rubber fuel line and two regular hose clamps. Never leaked again in the 8 months I drove it afterwards.

i wonder if this is only our problem? (meaning north cars) or have people from the south or desert areas had this problem to..?
